Charitable status

Whittingham Kennels is a registered Charity: Retired Greyhounds Charity - Whittingham Kennels (charity number: 1196685)

About us

Originally a branch of the Greyhound Trust, we went independent as a charity in our own right in January 2022.

This followed the death of the Kennels' founder and the need to formalise the work of the organisation.

We have four trustees and a dedicated staff/volunteer team who work tirelessly to find loving homes for as many greyhounds and sighthounds as possible.

The kennels was founded by Johanna Beumer MBE.

Retired Greyhounds Charity - Whittingham Kennels is a member of One Voice for Animals UK, which brings animal welfare establishments together under one organisation to promote animal welfare and connect rehoming and animal welfare organisations in one directory.
