Retired Greyhounds Charity - Whittingham Kennels
If you would like to adopt a greyhound or support our work - we would love to meet you!
We are passionate about greyhound rescue and adoption.
We adopt/rehome greyhounds to Essex, London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and beyond; generally areas within 1hr of Waltham Abbey. We are a registered charity.
If you would like to adopt a greyhound and offer him/her a loving home, then please contact the Kennels - 01992 893 734 or email Louise: wkretiredgreyhounds@gmail.com
We always have plenty of greyhounds looking for loving homes.
All the dogs are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and come with 4 weeks' free pet insurance. We provide you with a collar/lead, house collar and muzzle and information along with all paperwork at adoption. We will provide a coat when possible. You will need to buy two large bowls, a bed (an old duvet folded in half is fine - or the equivalent sized dog bed), a tag for their collar and the appropriate food (we provide feeding guidance).
Please view our current "greyhounds looking for homes" and email wkretiredgreyhounds@gmail.com to enquire about adopting a greyhound.
Our greyhounds vary in age - usually they are 3-5yrs but can be as young as 18months. Greyhounds need very little exercise (two twenty minute walks per day is fine) and are very loving, loyal, gentle and affectionate.
Most of our greyhounds are ex-racers, but some are rescue cases too. You will find all our retired and rescued greyhounds on our page "greyhound looking for homes"
