Magic - male greyhound 

Magic has sadly been returned.  He has lived with another greyhound and small dog but is nervous with men so would be best with a quiet household and one used to dogs with this trait.  He is a loving boy once he gets to know you but does need his own space and quiet time. Update: Magic is a little temperamental with people he doesn't know so we will only be homing him with someone who he knows/can take on this odd trait.  It is so unusual for greyhounds so he will have to go to the right home. Could you help Magic get back into a loving home?  He is 3yrs old

 

Liam - male greyhound 

Liam is a loving and happy boy who came in with Money and Abbi.  He happily shares with the female greyhounds and is confident and friendly.  He can be slightly strong on the lead, but this will quickly improve as he gets used to everything whilst out and about.  He did well on his trip into town when he encountered other breeds so should be ok with initial careful introduction.  He is 4yrs old.

Abbi - female greyhound

Abbi is 4yrs old.  She is very nervous until she knows you but does come round with patience and kindness.  She would prefer to be the only dog at home, but does walk happily with other dogs, which would give her confidence.  She will need a patient and understanding home, without young children as they may be too much for her.  She is clean in her kennel and will be really loyal once she trusts you.  Update: Abbi will need a home without too much activity where she can come out of her shell.  She may be able to live with a confident dog-savy cat.  She would prefer a more rural setting as she is spooked very easily by unexpected noise.

Eric - male lurcher

Eric is a lovely lurcher who had served his time in the pound and needed a rescue space.  He is very nervous but gains a huge amount of confidence from Ernie.  Ideally, they would be homed together.  He is estimated to be about 5yrs old.  He is gaining in confidence, but can jump fences if separated from Ernie.  He needs a secure garden.  He is very loving once he trusts you and has great fur!  

Ernie - male lurcher

Ernie came in with Eric after their time was up in the pound.  He is a confident and happy soul who would love to go home with Eric.  He is estimated to be about 5yrs old.  He is a lovely character and gives his friend, Eric confidence.  They are clean in their kennel and ideally we would home them together as they are very bonded.

Izzy - female greyhound 

Izzy is 3yrs old and a happy girl who shares with other greyhounds.  Izzy is good with other breeds (given the usual careful introductions).  She is quite lively for a greyhound but does settle calmly in her bed after the initial excitement of the walk wears off! There is interest in Izzy (pending confirmation)!

Dina - female greyhound 

Dina is 5yrs old.  She is confident and happy and shares with other greyhounds.  She is petite and always happy!  She wags her tail all the time and is so loving.  She is clean in her kennel and a dear little soul.

Homer - male greyhound

Homer is 4yrs old.  He is confident and friendly.  He is calm and gentle and been around smaller dogs and children with his trainer.  He shares happily with other greyhounds. There is interest in Homer (pending confirmation)!

Anna - female greyhound

Anna is 2yrs old and a happy girl who would love a new home. She is gentle, quiet and confident; as well as being affectionate.  She is good around other breeds with the usual initial care.

Willie - male greyhound 

Willie is a gentle soul.  He is 3yrs old (4yrs in August) and will be assessed as we get to know him.  Willie walks nicely on the lead and has met smaller dogs.  He did well, but will need a few more careful introductions.  It shouldn't take him long to understand how to interact successfully.  He is a happy and friendly boy who nuzzles in for affection.  He will make someone very happy.

Sky - female greyhound

Sky is 3yrs old and a gentle and happy girl who is confident and friendly.  She would love a special home so she can enjoy adventures beyond Kennels. Sky is currently reserved! 

Sassy - female greyhound

Sassy came in with Sky and is a lovely, gentle soul.  She is 3yrs old, good with the other greyhounds and will be tested around other breeds as soon as possible. She shares happily with other greyhounds and is really quiet in the Kennels. Sassy has found a home!

Rocky - male greyhound

Rocky is a gentle and friendly boy who loves a cuddle and affection.  He is 2yrs old so a young boy but super gentle.  He walks well on the lead and has interacted happily with children.  We will test him around other breeds as soon as we can.  He will thrive in the home environment, especially once he finds his place.

Murphy - male greyhound 

Murphy is 5yrs old.  He is a calm boy but quite nervous until he gains your trust. He will be incredibly loyal and affectionate once he knows you and is already starting to wag his tail after just a few days at Whittingham.  He is fine around visiting children but would prefer a quieter home where he can have his own space.  He loves his food, is clean in the house and travels well.  He just needs a chance. Murphy has found a home!

Roly - male greyhound

Roly has sadly been returned.  He is 5yrs old and lived happily with a small dog so is great around other breeds.  He is used to the home environment and should slot back into a home easily.  He will not be homed with very small children as he likes his own space.  He will be perfect for someone who has had greyhounds before and needs a greyhound to share with another breed.  He is clean, confident and loves his food. There is interest in Roly (pending cat test)!
